Customer rebates are a key F&A process in drug manufacturing companies.
They have pricing contracts where large customers are entitled to discounts on the basis of drug quantities bought over a time period, mentioned in the contract.
The robot reviews the quantities as per contract and sales as mentioned in the ERP. It then prepares a consolidated report suggesting the rebate to be offered. The report can run into multiple pages and are really large spreadsheets when done manually.
After automation, the Robots not only prepares the report but also a summary sheet. The report is then picked up by the accounts team to be verified and processed.
