Introducing the Digital Automation Club

In the next few weeks, I am planning a Pilot!

Many people have reached out to me with questions on different aspects of Intelligent Automation (IA). Most of the questions are about getting started or keeping up with this rapidly expanding space.

I have been thinking about these and have come up with an option.

It is being called the “Digital Automation club

What is it?

It would be a safe online professional support group for automation leaders to level up on Intelligent Automation. We will discuss practical ways you can leverage Intelligent Automation to grow your career and your group/organization.

Note that it is a support forum, not a “course”. I would be looking to coach, guide, and also learn from you. We will focus on helping each other understand and grow with Automation (Use Cases, Technology, Processes, COE, etc.). This would be a safe space (everything is confidential) to freely ask questions and seek answers.

Hopefully, we will all become best friends and continue to help each other.

How would it work?

We will meet weekly for six weeks for 1.5 hours (plus optional after hours) starting around mid-May. Each session would have a theme as we explore the real-world practical aspects of Intelligent Automation. For eg., We will discuss the real-world implementation stories, Common Pitfalls, Best practices, Current Trends, and more.

Each session would be tailored to the group’s needs based on your feedback. We can then dive deeper and discuss asynchronously over the community platform. The platform would be available at least for a year so that you have the support you need even after the weekly sessions are over.

What you get

Study Sessions

We will meet to discuss the most important ideas in automation, especially the practical aspects that will help you in your day-to-day work. The topics will be finalized based on group feedback. Here are a few proposed topics:

🤖 Intelligent Automation, Hyperautomation, and more: Confused about the numerous terms and hype? We will start by discussing these in detail and ensure we are on the same page with what it means for you.

🌎 Real-World Use cases and Benefits: We will dive into some of the best real-world use cases across industries and business groups to understand what is really working and what is not.

🎯 How to choose the right processes for Automation: We will look at a step-by-step approach to identifying the right processes for automation across the organization and understanding potential benefits for you or your customers.

💼 Building A Business Case For Automation: How you can build a business case that ensures the benefits to the organization out weight the cost of implementation and maintenance. We will look at how you can articulate the benefits and value that automation brings to the organization.

⚠️ Pitfalls To Avoid And Best Practices: We can learn from others’ failures and successes. What are things you can take care of in your program? What best practices can you add to your program.

🔎 Process and Task Discovery: This is becoming a staple of most Digital programs. Knowing your processes objectively is now possible with AI. Let’s dive deeper and understand how people are doing this and how you can look to apply it in your organization.

📑 Intelligent Document Processing: Most Automation programs have to tackle the unstructured and semi-structured data in the organization. Let us see how AI can finally help you free this data and use it to automate your critical document-based processes.

💯 Center of Excellence (CoE): Almost all the successful Automation / Digital programs have used a CoE. Let us dive into real-world stories and learn how you can make this a reality or improve the program you already have.

📈Automation Operations: Monitoring, and continuously improving the Digital Automation programs is often taken up last. This is a crucial aspect and we will dive into the key KPIs to track, and how we can improve in terms of FTE, Licenses, Infrastructure, and more.

🛠 Current Technology And Tools Landscape: Automation technology is rapidly evolving and becoming more complex. We will look at the major technologies and tool kits that you can use for Digital Automation right now.

💡Emerging Trends in Digital Automation: We will discuss the most promising trends that we are seeing across all the areas – from Process discovery to Operations.

🖥 Create A Bot With A Supportive Group: This is optional but we can build a bot or a few of them if that is of interest and fun for the group 😊

Those are a few topics we plan to explore together. We will discuss them during the sessions to be led by yours truly. The sessions would be recorded and you would have concise reference notes for each topic by the end of the program.

We also plan to have more sessions throughout the year and you can optionally join those sessions based on availability.

Community

We will have a community platform to continue our discussion asynchronously. You can have general discussions, ask questions, get answers, and more.

Based on the discussions we had, we will create concise reports that will be available for your reference. You will also have recordings of the sessions available on the community platform. Finally, you can also expect weekly email updates on what happened within this community.

Guest Sessions

You can expect Industry experts and practitioners to be part of some of the sessions. They will share things based on their first-hand experience. Here are the topics where we currently plan to include experts (subject to change)

  1. Real-world Automation Use Cases
  2. Automation Center of Excellence
  3. Process Discovery / Mining
  4. Automation Operations / Metrics

Personal Branding

We would like to let the community know about you and your strengths! You would receive a certificate of completion. More importantly, we plan to have a roster with your expertise that would help people discover you and reach out for opportunities. You are welcome to participate in the Bot Nirvana thought leadership activities like “Expert speak” to showcase your expertise. We will also obviously help each other if you are on the lookout for opportunities. Remember, the idea is to be friends for life!

Here are a few more things about the program:
