The consolidation in the Intelligent Automation space continues.
Automation Anywhere has decided to up its Process discovery and Task mining capability by adding FortressIQ. One of the pioneers in Cognitive Process Discovery, the tool was one of the first to enable Robotic Process Automation (RPA) by auto-generating the documents (PDD) and code. This could be a way to increase their valuation ahead of their IPO. It will be interesting to see how AA integrates this with their existing process discovery and automation capabilities.
Overall, this is another step among the top players to build the end-to-end automation framework. Watch out for this further in 2022 and beyond.
